To lose weight, many people will drastically cut foods from their diet in the hopes of shaping up. Although there are many diet plans on the market, making a small change to your diet could see the best results. However, cutting back on one food in particular could be the key for shedding the pounds quickly. Ditching foods high in sugar and carbs could help slimmers shape up and burn fat fast.
What should you eat?
Cutting sugar and carbs out of your diet can help hunger levels go down, according to a study published in the US National Library of Medicine.
The research revealed slimmers won’t feel as hungry which means they are less likely to opt for unhealthy snacks.
As well as cutting the pounds, eating foods low in carbs can help reduce bloating and burn belly fat quickly.
According to experts at healthline.com, dieters can lose as much as 10lb in the first week of cutting these foods.
The website said: “It is not uncommon to lose up to 10 pounds (sometimes more) in the first week of eating this way, both body fat and water weight.
“Cut the carbs and you will start to eat fewer calories automatically and without hunger.
“Put simply, cutting carbs puts fat loss on autopilot.”
A low-carb plan involves ditching foods such as bread, rice, pasta, high sugar fruit and sweet treats.
Instead, slimmers can fill up on foods such as meats, fish, eggs, dairy and non-starchy vegetables.
When cutting these foods, dieters are likely to fill up on foods high in protein and fat instead.
